Alhambra of Granada: It is the most visited monument in Spain, the most important place to see in Granada, and one of the most significant in all of Spain. I'm not exaggerating when I say it is tremendously beautiful. One of the most astonishing monuments in the world. Neither the Eiffel Tower in Parisnor the Sagrada Familia in Barcelonacan compare.

The Alhambra is an ancient Andalusian palatial city composed of several palaces, walls, and gardens of unparalleled beauty and detail in its construction.

The Alhambra was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you can imagine, it's huge, and the visit will take at least a full morning, but you can easily spend the whole day and part of the night without getting bored. Of all the places to see in the Alhambra, my favorites are the Generalife and its gardens, the Nasrid Palaces, and its famous Patio de los Leones, the Castle of Charles V, and the Alcazaba.

Granada Cathedral and Royal Chapel: The Cathedral of Granada is another essential monument to see in Granada. Perhaps not as impressive as other cathedrals in Andalusia, but the Cathedral of the Incarnation of Granada is one of the top works of the Spanish Renaissance.

Entry to the cathedral is paid, costing 5 euros, and the opening hours are from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 6:30 pm and Sundays from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Right next to the Cathedral is the Royal Chapel. The Catholic Monarchs are buried there. The detail of the Mausoleum of the Catholic Monarchs is quite impressive.

Mirador de San Nicolás: The best thing is not only the views but the bohemian atmosphere of this square. The downside is that it's always crowded, but I recommend you grab a beer and watch the sunset from here. It will be unforgettable.

Albaicín Neighborhood: As this neighborhood has amazing views, a good option is to have dinner in a restaurant overlooking the Alhambra. It's one of the things to do in Granada that I was most excited to try last time I went. We recommend the Las Tomasas Restaurant, Carmen El Agua Restaurant, or Estrellas de San Nicolás.

Paseo de los Tristes: One of the most beautiful streets in Granada and always very crowded is the Paseo de los Tristes. Officially called the Paseo del Padre Manjón, but they call it the Paseo de los Tristes because funeral processions used to pass through it on their way to the cemetery. The best part of the walk is the views at the foot of the Alhambra.

Sacromonte Neighborhood: It is famous for its typical Andalusian houses, viewpoints, and gypsy roots. In this area, I recommend seeing a gypsy zambra in some cave-house. One of the most typical places is the Zambra María La Canastera Restaurant.
