To speak of Fes is to speak of the oldest medina, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Once you enter and wander through its labyrinthine streets, as you pass, or rather try to avoid, the transport of goods (mainly donkeys and motorbikes), it is impossible not to feel that you have been transported to another era. And if we leave the wall behind and go into the new area, we can marvel at the bronze gates of the Royal Palace or stroll through the Jewish quarter.
